About the Role
County Heat Treat is hiring a Production Administrative Assistant to support our production team with order entry, purchase order booking, and day-to-day administrative work. No prior manufacturing experience is required. We provide full paid training on our systems and processes, so this is a great fit for someone looking to start a career in manufacturing administration, office support, or customer service.
You'll work directly alongside our production team, helping new orders move from intake to the shop floor accurately and on time.
What You'll Do
- Enter new production orders and book purchase orders (POs) into our system (Visual Shop software, training provided)
- Review incoming orders for accuracy before they start production
- Support customer communication and respond to order status questions as needed
- Assist the shipping team with packaging and shipment preparation as needed
- Maintain organized records and produce reports as requested
- Answer phones and direct calls professionally
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the production department
- Assist the accounting department with basic tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent (some post-secondary education a plus, not required)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; our customers count on precise, on-time orders
- Comfortable with computers and basic data entry; Microsoft Word and Excel experience helpful
- Good communication skills, both on the phone and in person
- Reliable, organized, and eager to learn
- No manufacturing or Visual Shop experience necessary; we will train the right person
