Role Description
This role is responsible for coordinating external manufacturing operations across suppliers, engineering, and internal teams to ensure reliable and efficient production. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that combines operational execution with the ability to engage in technical discussions related to manufacturing equipment, systems, and process challenges.
You will work closely with external manufacturing partners (CMOs) and internal stakeholders to support product transfers, maintain supply continuity, and resolve manufacturing issues. The role is well-suited for someone with an engineering background who is interested in transitioning into a more operational, cross-functional role while remaining close to technical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day coordination with external manufacturing partners and suppliers
- Support technology transfer activities from development into manufacturing
- Partner with engineering teams and CMOs to troubleshoot equipment, process, and production challenges
- Track production schedules, materials, and deliverables to ensure timelines are met
- Coordinate inventory, materials, and purchase orders to support manufacturing
- Identify and resolve operational issues impacting production, quality, or delivery
- Provide technical input and support during manufacturing issue resolution and product transfers
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and supply processes
- Support quality and continuous improvement efforts for existing products
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field preferred
- 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or related technical environments
- Experience working with manufacturing equipment, systems, or hardware-based processes
- Experience or exposure to external manufacturing, suppliers, or production environments
- Ability to engage in technical discussions and problem-solve manufacturing challenges
- Strong organizational and cross-functional coordination skills

Work Authorization & Location:
This position is based on site in Boston, MA. Candidates must currently reside in the greater Boston area and be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. Emulate is not able to provide visa sponsorship or relocation assistance for this role.
Compensation & Benefits - Base Salary: $95,000 – $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and internal equity
