Event Manager
Location: Boston, Massachusetts | Hybrid (Preference for Massachusetts or Eastern Time Zone)
Compensation: $85,000 to $100,000 all in, based on annual salary plus bonus opportunity | Full-Time | W2
About the Role
Our client is seeking an Event Manager to join their fast-growing and entrepreneurial coaching business in the financial services industry. The Event Manager will lead the planning, execution, and optimization of a wide range of events that support the growth of financial advisors nationwide. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-accountability environment, takes ownership of outcomes, and enjoys building memorable, high-impact experiences.
The Event Manager will oversee multiple events per quarter, including virtual webinars, in-person meetings, and a large annual conference. This individual will work closely with the company’s founder and the Director of Marketing to ensure every event runs seamlessly and delivers exceptional value to attendees. The Event Manager will report directly to the founder and collaborate with a small, agile team.

What You Will Do
- Plan, coordinate, and execute multiple events per quarter, including virtual and in-person formats
- Manage a weekly online mastermind gathering, ensuring consistency, engagement, and smooth delivery
- Lead the planning and execution of a large-scale annual conference with up to 500 attendees
- Coordinate logistics for smaller regional events, workshops, speaking engagements, and advisor gatherings throughout the year
- Support the founder’s public speaking engagements by coordinating logistics, venues, travel, and event setup
- Partner with leadership to align events with business goals, advisor engagement, and educational objectives
- Manage vendor relationships, venues, travel arrangements, and event budgets
- Oversee event timelines, communications, and project plans to ensure flawless execution
- Track toward KPIs and analyze event performance and attendee feedback to continuously improve future events
- Act as the primary point of contact for all event-related operations and advisor event experiences
- Collaborate with the marketing team to support event promotion and occasional light marketing tasks, such as coordinating content, managing communications, or assisting with tools like Canva
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in event management, conference planning, or experiential marketing
- Bachelors degree
- Proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with strong attention to detail
- Experience planning both virtual and in-person events, including large-scale conferences
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing company environment
- Comfort using modern tools, technology, and AI to improve workflows and efficiency
- Experience working with professional services, financial services, or conference-driven industries is a plus
- Familiarity with event management tools, CRM platforms, virtual event software, and design tools such as Canva is helpful
- A self-starter who can work independently
Travel Requirements
- This role may require up to 20% travel to support conferences, regional events, and speaking engagements.
