Argus Construction Corp. is a growing, family-owned general contractor specializing in athletic facilities, sports fields, parks, courts, and recreational construction projects throughout Massachusetts. We are seeking hard-working experienced construction laborers to join our field crews on active job sites.
This is a hands-on, outdoor position offering prevailing wage pay, ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and are looking for stable, full-time employment with a well-established contractor.
Qualifications
- Previous construction or general labor experience preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and dependability
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Commitment to job site safety
- Valid driver’s license a plus
- OSHA 10/30 certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities
- Assist foremen, equipment operators, and skilled trades with daily job site operations
- Perform general labor duties including site prep, grading support, material handling, and cleanup
- Load, unload, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Assist with concrete work, fencing, curbing, and general construction tasks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
- Follow all safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and company procedures
- Operate hand and power tools as needed
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Take direction from supervisors and work collaboratively as part of a crew
Schedule and Pay
This is a full-time position with consistent weekday hours. Occasional overtime may be available based on project schedules. Compensation is paid at the prevailing wage rate. Work is weather dependent, and winter layoffs may occur.
