Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Dog Daycare/Kennel worker to provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for the animals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compassion and attention to detail, along with experience in animal care or pet handling, to foster a well-rounded and supportive atmosphere but not necessary (willing to hire the right person ). This role involves supervising the animals, and ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Supervise animals during playtime, meals, etc.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment, adhering to health and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding animals progress and daily activities
- Handle animals with proper restraint techniques when necessary, ensuring their comfort and safety
- Support team members in maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment
- Follow all licensing regulations and company policies related to animal handling
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with pet handling, dog training, veterinary assistance, or animal care is a plus
- Ability to handle animals with proper restraint techniques and provide pet care or grooming as needed
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for setting up equipment or handling supplies
- Patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with animals
- Attention to detail so you are aware of the the animals and their behaviors at all times
- Flexibility to adapt to changing daily needs within the daycare/kennel setting
