General Linen Service, Inc. is hiring a full-time Truck Driver (Non-CDL) to join our delivery team. This is a physical, fast-paced role delivering and picking up linen on established routes.
This position includes assigned stops delivering event linen products to customers while providing a high level of service. Commercial or professional driving experience is preferred. Drivers operate company box trucks (26 ft) and are responsible for loading and unloading before and after each route.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a non-CDL box truck on assigned routes
- Load and unload the truck for multi-stop deliveries
- Use a hand truck to move products from the vehicle to customer locations, including stairs as needed
- Lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Deliver and pick up customer orders accurately and on time
- Deliver products to customer-designated areas
- Verify deliveries against invoices, complete paperwork, and collect return items
- Provide professional, customer-focused service
- Follow all safety guidelines and DOT requirements
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (fluid levels, tires, windshield washer, fuel, etc.)
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Ability to pass a DOT physical prior to start
- Comfortable driving 18–26 ft box trucks
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Availability for early morning start times (routes begin between 4:00–6:00 AM)
- Route driving experience preferred (2+ years)
- No more than two traffic violations in the past 3 years
- No DUI convictions in the past 3 years
- No license suspensions in the past 3 years
