Boston Speech Therapy is looking for a Reading Specialist to join our team for a part-time in-person position. In this role, you will provide individualized support to students facing challenges with reading and literacy. Your expertise will help foster strong reading skills and promote a love for learning.

This part-time position requires 10 -20 hours of work per week, and the pay rate is $90 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Administer assessments to evaluate students' reading levels and identify specific needs
- Develop and implement tailored instructional plans that address individual student challenges
- Provide one-on-one or small group reading instruction focusing on fluency, comprehension, and phonics
- Employ a range of evidence-based teaching strategies and materials to enhance learning
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to monitor progress and modify instruction as necessary
- Keep detailed records of student progress and assessment results
Requirements
- Certification as a Reading Specialist
- Previous experience as a Reading Specialist or in a related educational role
- Strong grasp of evidence-based reading instruction methods
- Familiarity with specialized reading programs such as OG or Wilson is a plus
- Ability to assess individual student needs and develop effective intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility in adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
