Cambrian College is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our team as Manager, Student Recruitment. Reporting to the Director, Marketing, Recruitment and Student Success, this role is critical in driving domestic enrolment growth and shaping the future of student engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Manager, Student Recruitment is responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive recruitment, conversion, enrolment, and re-entry strategies aligned with Cambrian College’s strategic enrolment goals.
This role provides leadership to a high-performing recruitment team, oversees the full recruitment funnel, and leverages CRM systems and analytics to optimize performance. The Manager also leads the operation of the College’s inbound call centre and ensures exceptional service delivery to prospective students and partners.
The Manager, Student Recruitment Will Be Responsible For
- Strategic Recruitment & Enrolment Growth
- Develop and implement annual domestic recruitment and conversion strategies
- Lead recruitment initiatives including school visits, events, campus tours, and community engagement
- Establish and monitor recruitment funnel targets across key student segments
- Identify new market opportunities and build strong referral networks
- Collaborate with academic and service areas to align recruitment efforts with institutional goals
- CRM & Data-Driven Decision Making
- Lead CRM strategy for lead generation, nurturing, and conversion
- Analyze recruitment data, trends, and market insights to inform strategy
- Monitor KPIs and adjust tactics to optimize enrolment outcomes
- Oversee targeted communication strategies, including digital and in-person engagement
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse recruitment team (full-time, part-time, and student staff)
- Foster a high-performance, industry leading customer-focused culture
- Support staff training in recruitment practices, systems, and student engagement
- Operations & Service Excellence
- Oversee the inbound call centre and switchboard operations
- Ensure consistent, high-quality service standards and communication protocols
- Manage recruitment-related budgets, resources, and vendor relationships
- Responsible for the organization, delivery and monitoring of Cambrian’s on-campus tour program, group tour strategy and the virtual tour application
- Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
- Cultivate strategic relationships with key external stakeholders (guidance counsellors, high school leaders and influencers, various agencies, community leaders, and other recruitment partners)
- Collaborate across the College to support recruitment, conversion, and student success initiatives
- Represent Cambrian College in external engagements and events
- Re-Engagement Strategy
- Develop and implement strategies to support re-entry students
- Create pathways and communication plans to re-engage learners
Qualifications
Required:
- Must have a four year degree preferably in business, marketing, or public relations (a copy of educational documents must be submitted with the application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application).
- Three years of proven sales leadership.
- Be enthusiastic, positive, and goal-oriented with exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to contribute to the establishment of performance targets, the evaluation of progress, and the initiation and implementation of change to achieve goals.
- Student recruitment skills to generate and qualify prospects and close prospective applicants.
- High level of professionalism to effectively lead and mentor Cambrian’s Recruitment Team.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) as well as contact/lead tracking system (Banner Relationship Module).
- Strong team builder with the talent to foster and maintain effective working relationships throughout the College as well as with external stakeholders.
Additional Assets/Preferred:
- Sound knowledge of Cambrian College.
- Experience working in a postsecondary institution.
