Exciting Opportunity for Accounting Assistant in Medical equipment industry
This position is a full-time position. It will involve assisting the Financial Controller in the preparation of monthly management accounts and warehousing healthcare inventory. It would be a significant advantage if the Accounting Assistant has experience in small business accounting.
Aspects Of Accounting Assistant Position May Include
- Review, enter, and process invoices and payments
- Maintain customer accounts – cash receipts, returns, credits and refunds
- Review, enter and process vendor invoices and payments
- Maintenance of Accounts payable ledger
- Review, print and distribute monthly sales reports
- General Ledger journals
- Organize and maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policy
- Assist in warehouse with Shipping and Receiving of Healthcare goods against packing lists
- Entering customer information into Business Software including UPS and FedEx
- Creating labels for returned goods
- Checking goods for damage
- Completing weekly and monthly inventory counts for healthcare goods stored on site
- Put away goods as received in accordance with FIFO standard
- Following standard work procedures relating to warehousing
- Other ad-hoc duties
Essential Qualifications And Experience
- High school education with a minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting
- Associates degree or higher with 2 plus years of experience in accounting is preferred.
- Worked in a role with full oversight of an accounting function.
- Experience of using Sage100 desirable.
- Must be systems driven and have structured approach to problem solving.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to think outside the box and help identify areas where we can improve efficiency.
