Staffworks Group is hiring a Customer Service Representative in Bellingham, MA for a full-time, on-site position paying $24 per hour. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in customer service, order management, and precision machining environments, especially those familiar with CNC and Swiss machining processes.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, handling inquiries related to orders, quotes, and specifications
- Perform accurate order entry and management using ERP/MRP systems, including revisions and releases
- Review customer purchase orders, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure compatibility with machining capabilities (CNC/Swiss preferred)
- Create and release work orders and job travelers to support efficient production workflows
- Ensure compliance with ISO and ITAR quality standards, including documentation and traceability
- Collaborate with production, planning, quality, and shipping teams to meet customer deadlines
- Monitor order status, lead times, and delivery schedules, providing proactive updates
- Support ISO and ITAR audits, ensuring all processes meet regulatory requirements
- Input and manage required certifications and documentation (material certifications, First Article Inspection, Certificates of Conformance)
- Maintain detailed records of customer communications, order changes, and ERP activity
- Resolve customer issues, nonconformances, and corrective actions professionally and efficiently
Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service or order management experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (order entry, job tracking, documentation)
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings
- Familiarity with CNC machining and Swiss-style machining processes strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of ISO and ITAR compliance standards
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and cross-functional teams
