We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead the strategic and operational functions of our organization in Worcester, Massachusetts. This role is essential for the successful development and execution of programs, financial management, and organizational growth while maintaining a nurturing and secure environment for children and families. The COO will work closely with the Board of Directors, oversee staff leadership, and represent the organization within the community.

Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic leadership and collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish and achieve organizational goals in alignment with the mission.
• Ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements by managing application processes and monitoring site visits.
• Implement effective financial management practices, including budgeting, monitoring financial performance, and overseeing audits.
• Lead fundraising efforts and build relationships with donors and community partners to secure program funding.
• Supervise key personnel, including finance, operations, and enrollment teams, to ensure effective execution of contracts and organizational initiatives.
• Oversee the recruitment, retention, and development of staff to maintain a high-performance workforce.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
• Manage building maintenance, security, and capital improvements to ensure a safe and well-maintained facility.
• Represent the organization in community outreach and public relations activities to strengthen its presence and partnerships.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure compliance with child/staff ratio regulations.
• Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience, including oversight of operations and strategic initiatives.
• Proven ability to manage donor relations, including major gift solicitation and fundraising campaigns.
• Strong expertise in financial management, forecasting, and reporting.
• Experience working with Boards of Directors to implement governance practices and strategic plans.
• Demonstrated ability to lead staff development and training initiatives.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and licensing processes within childcare or nonprofit organizations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for community engagement and stakeholder collaboration.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
