About This Role:
The Lead of Global Medical Training is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing strategic training initiatives that enhance the scientific knowledge, communication skills, and compliance awareness of global medical teams. This role ensures alignment with corporate objectives, regulatory standards, and evolving medical and scientific landscapes globally. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in medical education, adult learning principles, and global collaboration. This role will be remote.
What You'll Do: - Training Strategy & Development
- Lead the development and execution of global medical training strategies and curricula as a subject matter expert.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and develop tailored learning solutions.
- Ensure training programs are aligned with scientific, regulatory, and commercial goals.
- Content Creation & Delivery
- Oversee the creation of high-quality, scientifically accurate training materials.
- Deliver live and virtual training sessions globally, including onboarding, product launches, and ongoing education.
- Utilize innovative learning technologies and platforms to enhance engagement and retention.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure training relevance and impact.
- Serve as a key liaison between global and regional medical teams to ensure consistency and localization of training.
- Support country medical teams in providing scientific onboarding training to non-medical new hires as needed.
- Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate training effectiveness and impact.
- Continuously improve training programs based on feedback, performance data, and evolving business needs.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all training content complies with internal policies, industry standards, and global regulatory requirements.
- Maintain documentation and audit readiness for training activities.
Who You Are:
You bring deep expertise in Medical Affairs and global medical education, with a proven track record of designing and delivering impactful training programs grounded in adult learning principles and scientific rigor. You thrive in complex, multicultural environments, leveraging strong communication, project leadership, and digital learning capabilities to elevate teams worldwide.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, medical education, or training within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering global training programs.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment.
- Proficiency in digital learning tools and platforms.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning development tools.
- Multilingual capabilities or experience working across diverse cultural settings.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree in life sciences (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent preferred).
- Certification in instructional design or training (e.g., ATD, CPLP) is a plus.
Additional Information:
The base compensation range for this role is: $215,000.00-$260,000.00. Compensation is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
