Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Packaging Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently packaging products, ensuring quality standards are maintained, and supporting the overall production process. Responsibilities
- Operate packaging machinery and equipment to prepare products for shipment
- Assemble packaging components using hand tools and power tools as required
- Conduct quality checks to ensure packaging meets company standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the packaging area
- Assist with loading finished products onto pallets and preparing them for dispatch
- Follow safety protocols and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
- Support inventory management by accurately recording packaged items and materials used
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge is highly desirable, with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Experience with hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and follow detailed instructions
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift items as required
