Job description:
Employee will assist in providing information & referral and intake services to persons with disabilities; with high regard for the empowerment of the consumer’s efforts to achieve personal goals and eliminate barriers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide information & referral services to consumers in person, via phone, U.S. mail, or electronically.
Provide intake services for eligible consumers requesting services.
Update & maintain information & referral resource database.
Research and share information with staff resource coordinators as requested.
Communicate with staff, community organizations, & consumers via electronic media.
Document work through the use of database, narrative, and statistical forms.
Maintain strict confidentiality and professional behavior with consumers
Attend staff meetings & trainings; other duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have obtained a high school diploma
Excellent organizational, problem solving/planning and facilitative communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with consumers, co-workers and supervisor in addition to working as a team player.
Knowledge of Microsoft office suite and demonstrated computer abilities.
Direct experience with disability highly desirable
Strong interpersonal, analytic and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities; attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $22.50 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
