Position Summary:

QC Lab Technician to help us get there.
In this role, you’ll play a critical part in executing quality control assays to ensure the integrity and consistency of our viral vector production. What You’ll Do:
As a QC Lab Tech at Candel, you’ll:
- Perform quality control assays for viral vectors and assess viral particle titer
- Manage and track production and storage samples
- Optimize and test protocols for viral production and QC
- Support daily lab operations including solution prep, inventory, and documentation
- Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams to support process development
- Take the lead on special projects that support the broader research mission
What You Bring:
We're looking for someone who is curious, reliable, and eager to contribute to something bigger. Specifically, you’ll need:
- A BA/BS in biology or a related life sciences field, or an associate degree/certification with 2+ years of relevant lab experience
- Comfort working in a lab environment—undergraduate research counts
- Familiarity with sterile technique
- Experience with tissue culture and viral production (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and on a team
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with standard lab software and tools
- Able to start between 7:30 - 8:30 am on certain days of the week, on a non-routine basis support experiments on weekends and off shift as required along with other team members
- Must be authorized to work in US and not require any sponsorship
