Position Summary
Cambrian College's Digital Media Department has an immediate requirement for a Full-Time Content Strategist.
Note: Internal candidates, as defined by the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement, will be given first consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, design, create, edit and publish relevant content and manage organic campaigns on Cambrian’s existing digital platforms.
- Coordinate the day-to-day activities of Cambrian’s student social media ambassadors.
- Perform research to gain in-depth knowledge of all of Cambrian’s customer personas and leverage data and insights to inform content development.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of appropriate digital media targets and metrics to gauge the effectiveness of Cambrian’s content strategies and inform new strategies.
- Implement best SEO practices.
- Collaborate with content management teams, creative teams and copywriters to gather content requirements and implement content strategies.
- Review existing content on various digital platforms to ensure it is up-to-date, following brand guidelines, ensure the content is relevant, and performing well.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a three-year postsecondary diploma or degree or equivalent in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. (A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)
- Minimum of three years of experience working in digital media and marketing.
- Excellent customer service, communication, research, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise tact and good judgment working directly with students and college staff.
- Collaborative and dynamic professional who promotes teamwork and works cohesively within a team-oriented environment.
- Highly detail oriented and ability to take initiative.
