Edgestone Staffing is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused Material Handler to support daily warehouse and production operations at our Ayer, MA facility. This is a high-priority position with an immediate need for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accuracy, organization, and efficiency.
As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring materials are received, tracked, staged, and delivered to production accurately and on time. If you have forklift experience, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety, we'd like to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload pallets from trailers safely and efficiently.
- Receive, inspect, count, tag, and distribute incoming materials.
- Verify quantities and quality of incoming shipments.
- Kit, pre-stage, and document raw materials for daily production requirements.
- Review load plans to ensure accuracy and proper truck positioning.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts.
- Track and update inventory transactions within the Oracle ERP system.
- Provide Quality Control samples of raw materials as required.
- Complete and maintain inventory, shipping, receiving, and production documentation.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
- Follow all safety, GMP, and company policies and procedures.
- Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Experience operating a forklift or fork truck.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
