We are seeking a licensed MA Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) who will bring leadership and technical expertise to our collaborative team in southeastern MA. In this role, you will lead the survey team by researching projects and providing estimates to potential clients, overseeing field crew activities, conducting property boundary determinations and other survey computations and preparing survey plans. An active MA Professional Land Surveyor license is required for the position. This position will oversee a team of professionals, including survey field crew and drafting personnel, but should have in depth field knowledge and drafting capabilities.
Remote work is acceptable with occasional office check-ins as necessary (estimated at 2 times per month).
Job Responsibilities
- Estimate and plan survey projects.
- Manage field operations, including set-up for field activities and reviewing field data daily.
- Oversee execution of boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title surveys, construction surveys and other survey related activities.
- Utilize GPS, GIS, and CAD technologies for data collection and mapping.
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service.
- Supervise survey project invoices and billing.
- Experience using both assumed data coordinate systems and MA Grid coordinates (i.e. NAV88).
- Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Active MA Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.
- Ability to perform complex boundary analysis and maintain quality control of survey deliverables.
- Highly proficient using CAD software and survey total station and data collector instruments.
- Strong understanding of land surveying laws and standards.
- Ability to manage multiple staff to meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
