Role Overview
We are seeking a detail oriented Logistics Coordinator to support the efficient movement of shipments within our logistics and supply chain operations The role involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders, reviewing and validating shipping documentation, monitoring shipment progress, and resolving operational issues. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical ability, Excel proficiency, and excellent communication skills, enabling them to manage documentation accuracy, support operational reporting, and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with shippers, consignees, shipping lines, agents, transporters, and freight forwarders to ensure timely and accurate shipment movement.
- Manage end-to-end shipment execution, ensuring compliance with operational procedures and logistics standards.
- Review and validate shipping documentation through CRM systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve operational discrepancies, conducting root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and operational data using CRM systems and Microsoft Excel for reporting and tracking.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and logistics procedures to support efficient and organized delivery operations.
- Escalate operational issues or customer concerns to supervisors with clear analysis and recommended solutions.
- Maintain professional communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Support operational reporting and data analysis to enhance daily logistics coordination and performance tracking.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in logistics coordination, shipping operations, or supply chain roles, preferably within international logistics, trade finance, or commodity trading environments.
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists, and delivery documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data tracking, reporting, and basic analysis, with familiarity in CRM or logistics management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to identify operational issues and implement practical solutions.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, maintaining accuracy and efficiency in daily logistics operations.
