Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other machinery to perform tasks like grading, excavation, lifting, and material transportation
- Manage construction site activities by safely maneuvering equipment including Caterpillar machines, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks.
- Conduct routine inspections on machinery to maintain optimal performance and safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to execute site plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and project timelines
- Support the setup and breakdown of construction sites by moving materials and equipment as needed
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and operational logs for accountability
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on active sites with a solid understanding of construction processes
- Mechanical knowledge sufficient to troubleshoot basic machinery issues quickly and safely
- Valid 2A license for operating large vehicles such as Loaders, excavators, skid steers and more
- Familiarity with various machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation in construction environments
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and precision
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors
