Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload various types of junk, including heavy furniture and appliances, using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
- Operate box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmission to transport debris to designated disposal sites
- Drive route-specific trucks confidently, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols during pickups and drop-offs
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the removal process
- Assist with warehouse organization and maintenance when not actively removing junk
- Use manual tools and equipment to facilitate efficient loading and unloading processes
- Maintain cleanliness of trucks and work areas, following safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse work preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is essential
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physical stamina is required for moving bulky items
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and route driving experience
- Knowledge of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or other loading tools is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward clients
- Ability to follow safety procedures diligently and work in various weather conditions
- Experience with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous
