The Commercial Contracts Paralegal supports the Legal and Commercial teams with business-as-usual (BAU) commercial contracting activities. This role is primarily administrative and process-driven, focusing on document management, contract processing, and support related to standard commercial agreements. The Paralegal will assist with the preparation, review coordination, execution, and filing of contracts including MSAs, NDAs, amendments, and other routine commercial agreements.
In addition to strong organizational skills and attention to detail, the Paralegal must be able to interpret and understand contract language at a foundational level to identify key terms, obligations, risks, and deviations from standard templates. The ability to manage multiple contract workflows while applying sound judgment to contract interpretation is essential for success in this role.

Requirements
Essential Functions
- Support BAU commercial contracting activities through administrative and document-processing tasks
- Prepare, format, and process standard commercial agreements, including Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), amendments, and related documents
- Coordinate contract workflows, including internal reviews, approvals, and execution
- Maintain accurate and organized contract records, trackers, and filing systems (electronic and/or physical)
- Assist with contract intake, ensuring requests are complete and routed appropriately
- Monitor contract status and follow up with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion
- Support version control and document management for contracts and related correspondence
- Assist with basic contract data entry and reporting as needed
- Ensure compliance with internal contracting processes, templates, and guidelines
- Review standard contract terms and identify key provisions (e.g., scope, term, termination, confidentiality, liability caps) to support internal stakeholders
- Respond to routine internal questions about what a contract says or requires and escalate non‑standard items to the Legal team Perform other related administrative or legal support duties as assigned
Experience
- Previous experience in a paralegal, legal assistant, contracts administrator, or similar role preferred
- Experience supporting commercial contracts and standard legal agreements is highly desirable
- Ability to read and understand basic commercial contract language
- Confidence answering routine questions about contract provisions
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and contract workflows in a deadline-driven environment
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and document management systems
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools is a plus
Education
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
