Job Description
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to support business teams by analyzing operational and business data. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for candidates who have strong analytical thinking, Excel/SQL knowledge, and an interest in business data analysis in a non-IT environment.
The analyst will work closely with business stakeholders to interpret data, create reports, and provide insights that support operational and strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and organize business and operational datasets from multiple internal sources.
- Analyze trends in business performance, customer behavior, or operational efficiency using Excel and SQL.
- Develop weekly and monthly reports, dashboards, and summaries for business teams and management.
- Support data validation, data quality checks, and maintain accurate reporting processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams such as operations, finance, sales, and marketing to understand reporting needs.
- Assist in identifying patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement using data insights.
- Prepare clear visualizations and presentations to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting procedures.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or related field
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Data Analysis)
- Basic knowledge of SQL for querying datasets
- Understanding of data analysis, reporting, and business metrics
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or academic project experience in data analysis or business analytics
- Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau for basic dashboard creation
- Familiarity with data cleaning and reporting best practices
