Job Description

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to support business teams by analyzing operational and business data. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for candidates who have strong analytical thinking, Excel/SQL knowledge, and an interest in business data analysis in a non-IT environment.

The analyst will work closely with business stakeholders to interpret data, create reports, and provide insights that support operational and strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and organize business and operational datasets from multiple internal sources.
Analyze trends in business performance, customer behavior, or operational efficiency using Excel and SQL.
Develop weekly and monthly reports, dashboards, and summaries for business teams and management.
Support data validation, data quality checks, and maintain accurate reporting processes.
Work with cross-functional teams such as operations, finance, sales, and marketing to understand reporting needs.
Assist in identifying patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement using data insights.
Prepare clear visualizations and presentations to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Maintain documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting procedures.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or related field
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Data Analysis)
Basic knowledge of SQL for querying datasets
Understanding of data analysis, reporting, and business metrics
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Internship or academic project experience in data analysis or business analytics
Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau for basic dashboard creation
Familiarity with data cleaning and reporting best practices
