Job Description
We are currently seeking a self-motivated Data Analyst with strong analytical skills and a passion for using data to drive business growth and improvement. The Data Analyst will be accountable for providing accurate, timely and high-impact data and analysis to executives, operating groups and management teams focusing on a data driven approach to decision making for our companies. They will manage the development and support of the Business Intelligence reporting tools and dashboards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of company data and work with department leaders to define data needs and improve data workflows.
- Uses data gathered from multiple data sources and analytical tools to develop an understanding of client and business behaviors to make strategic recommendations.
- Extract and merge data from EHR systems and billing platforms while maintaining data integrity.
- Clean, validate, and quality‑check data from various systems to ensure accuracy of reporting.
- Develop and maintain the dashboards that provide clear data visualizations and analysis to support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Expand the existing Data Warehouse and maintain data dictionaries and documentation associated with data models.
- Leverage API capabilities with existing software vendors for streamlined reporting.
- Serves as an internal consultant for executives, operating groups and management teams
- Processes confidential data and information according to HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics or Computer Science preferred
- Experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or related field
- Experience with MS SQL and MS Excel required
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.
- Understanding of EHR systems and foundational knowledge of healthcare coding systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, especially in clinical or operational contexts
- Knowledge of querying Healthcare datasets and system is preferred
- Understanding of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy principles required
