Warehouse Associate
Join a growing trucking company, specializing in distributing carpet and
flooring products to commercial flooring dealers. We are seeking a skilled and motivated forklift operator
to join our team at our terminal in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Schedule
• Full time (30+ hours)
• Monday to Friday, 4am-noon or 8am-4pm
The Daily Tasks
1. Time management- arriving on time and using time efficiently.
2. Operate a forklift safely to unload inbound trucks and load outbound delivery trucks.
3. Utilizing handheld scanners and our computer-based order management system.
4. Reading and comprehending paperwork and product labels.
5. Ensuring all warehouse safety standards and OSHA compliance is met.
6. Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.
7. Documenting damaged and mis-shipped products.
8. Reasonable facility tasks such as cleaning and winter weather preparedness.
Skills
1. Proficient Forklift operator.
2. General understanding of how to load and unload trucks/trailers.
3. Proven work experience in a warehouse
4. Must be very organized and pay great attention to detail.
5. Effective communication skills, both written and spoken
6. Ability to work well with others.
7. Proven knowledge of warehouse safety standards and OSHA compliance
8. Strong time management skills
Qualifications:
- Ability to reliably commute to Worcester, Ma
- Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Vehicle
Education: High school Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
o Warehouse Operations: 2 years
o Forklift Operation: 2 years
Pay:
$23 per hour. Weekly pay, direct deposit.
• Overtime (hours over 40) will be paid at a rate of time and a half.
