The New England Dairy Promotion Board (NEDPB) is a not-for-profit marketing and promotion company. NEDPB is the local affiliate of the American Dairy Association and Dairy Management, Inc., based in Chicago, IL. On behalf of the New England and U.S. dairy farmers, our purpose is to drive increased sales and demand for dairy products and ingredients. We work proactively and in partnership with leaders and innovators to apply knowledge that leverages opportunities to increase dairy volume.
NEDPB seeks a results-oriented, innovative leader to represent and direct the organization as its Chief Executive Officer in interactions with a wide variety of professional partners, dairy farmers, allied organizations, task forces, committees, and the general public. This general management position, which reports to the Board of Directors, requires strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage and motivate people both inside and outside of the company. The CEO must be able to provide strategic leadership, direction, inspiration and support by working with the Board of Directors and other senior management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies. Experience working in agriculture and/or the food value chain are a plus. The CEO role follows a hybrid work model and requires on-site presence in the Boston office 1-2 days per week to ensure effective engagement, collaboration, and organizational visibility.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Desired Capabilities
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; master's degree preferred
- Minimum 7 years' experience in marketing, sales, economics, and/or dairy promotion, with 5+ years of supervisory experience
- Superior operating skills; financial acumen; the ability to manage risk; and the means to formulate a plan of action and execute it swiftly and decisively
- Able to handle complexity
- Commitment to ethical conduct
- Exceptional business and team leadership; able to instill a culture of operational excellence
