Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Stocker to join our team and ensure our retail environment remains organized, well-stocked, and inviting for customers. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and efficient store. Your proactive approach will help enhance the shopping experience by ensuring products are available, properly displayed, and accurately tracked. Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Manage inventory control by accurately tracking stock levels with RF scanners and maintaining precise records
- Restock shelves with produce, packaged goods, and other merchandise, ensuring products are properly labeled and displayed according to merchandising standards
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and organizing outgoing stock for delivery or sale
- Support customer service efforts by helping shoppers locate items, answer product questions, and provide a friendly shopping experience
- Maintain cleanliness of the store environment through regular cleaning routines including aisles, storage areas, and checkout counters
- Perform retail math calculations for pricing, stock levels, and sales transactions to support accurate inventory management
Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and RF scanner technology
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail in stocking, merchandising, and inventory control
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication with diverse customers and team members
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or retail environments with heavy lifting involved
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members across departments
- Customer service orientation with a positive attitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy items regularly while maintaining safety standards
- Familiarity with grocery store operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and retail math principles
