We are on the lookout for an experienced RN/LPN for our FT Sub-Acute Unit Manager opening.
Pay is based on experience and licensure; $42-$52 per hour.
Our organization is seeking an experienced Unit Manager with a strong focus on geriatrics/long term care and the ability to supervise other health care professionals. The individual hired for this position will be responsible for overseeing on-going care of elderly patients and ensuring that all health care professionals are adhering to protocols and guidelines. Responsibilities:
- Holds and maintains current Massachusetts License in accordance with State Regulations.
- 2+ years' Long Term/Geriatric/Rehabilitation education or care experience preferred.
- Acute hospital medical/surgical experience desirable.
- Knowledge of nursing theory and practice including the administration of medications.
- Holds and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with Nursing Standards of Practice.
- RN/LPN Specific Requirements:
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, patients/residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
- Must be willing to work harmoniously with professionals and non-professional personnel.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult patients/residents.
- Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.

** Required experience: 1+ year in Long Term Care Supervisory Role or 2 plus years LTC Experience
