Summary
As a Registered Behavior Technician at Journey ABA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality ABA therapy to children and adolescents. This position is essential in helping clients achieve their goals and thrive in their everyday lives through tailored behavioral interventions.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Assist clients in developing skills for daily living and social interactions.
- Conduct data collection on client progress and behavior changes.
- Provide support during therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings.
- Educate clients and families about behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in care plans.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
* 1 year experience working with individuals with autism in an ABA setting*
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques is essential.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and empathy.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices is a plus.
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred but not required at the time of application.
