Copyeditor
We are currently seeking candidates for a Copyeditor opportunity with a highly-successful investment management firm located in Boston, MA. This professional will be responsible for copyediting, proofreading, and refining marketing and editorial content across digital and print platforms. The ideal candidate will have 5–6+ years of financial copyediting and copywriting experience with the ability to distil complex investment concepts into clear and engaging messaging.
This is a 3-month contract opportunity paying between $40-$45/hour (depending on experience). This role supports a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities:- Copyedit and proofread a wide range of marketing, client-facing, and internal materials for accuracy, consistency, grammar, and brand alignment.
- Write and edit short-form content including headlines, email subject lines, social posts, banner ads, and promotional copy.
- Edit investment-related content to align with both brand standards and technical accuracy.
- Partner with marketers, writers, designers, and other stakeholders to develop compelling, brand-consistent messaging.
- Ensure all materials comply with regulatory and legal standards.
- Support the development and maintenance of the firm’s editorial style guide and tone of voice.
- Prioritize and manage multiple deliverables under deadlines with close attention to detail.
- Provide clear and timely communication of edits, comments, and recommendations.
- Assist in training internal partners on editorial standards and style guidelines
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of firm product lines, communication needs, and compliance requirements.
- Provide additional support as needed
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Finance, Communications, or a related field.
- 5–6+ years of professional copyediting and copywriting experience in financial services.
- Experience in financial publishing, asset management, or institutional investment communications preferred.
- Strong command of syntax, AP style, grammar, and punctuation.
- Expertise in editing and proofreading a wide rang of content for digital and print usage.
- Proven ability to deliver clear, concise messaging within a regulated industry
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and project management tools a plus.
- High-degree of professionalism, and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and strong interpersonal skills.
