We’re hiring a
TikTok Creator with world-class instincts, fast editing skills, and a deep understanding of what it takes to make shortform video content that connects and converts. This is not a strategy or management role -- this is for a hands-on, creative digital “predator” who can both produce and edit exceptional short-form video content for TikTok. To be wildly successful among your award-winning team members, you will need a sharp eye for design and pacing, be fluent in TikTok-native tools,
You’ll be handed a gold mine of high quality assets: podcast episodes, interviews, live events, touring footage, behind-the-scenes footage. Your job? Transform it all into high-performing, emotionally resonant TikToks that feel authentic, entertaining and shareable. At 143 Studios we are all about making an impact. You need to be fluent in the language of TikTok: trends, sounds, pacing, hooks, visual grammar. You instinctively know when to use a green screen, when to crop a vertical clip, and when to throw it all out and do something unexpected. You're someone who treats editing as storytelling and can create at speed — without losing your creative edge.
We want someone who plays at the top of their game — who doesn’t just watch TikTok, but thinks in TikTok. If you’re constantly capturing content, testing ideas, remixing trends, and obsessing over what makes something go viral, this role was built for you.
What You’ll Do
Hands-on Content Creation
- Edit and produce TikTok-native videos using in-app tools, with or without studio support.
- Turn long-form podcast content into short-form clips that feel made for TikTok — not repurposed.
- Develop original content formats, hooks, or series ideas rooted in storytelling, self-development, and pop culture.
- Jump on trending audio, memes, and topics in real time — and put a unique spin on them through Mel’s voice.
- Script or outline short-form ideas when needed to bring structure to your vision, then go execute.
- Film and edit content solo or with collaborators — you’re comfortable being scrappy, fast, and resourceful.
Platform-Native Creativity
- Develop and produce TikTok-native concepts, rooted in storytelling, personal growth, and cultural relevance.
- Write scripts or outlines for engaging short-form videos, optimizing every frame for hook strength, views and engagement.
- Pay close attention to hook structure, pacing, thumbnails, and sound — you know what stops the scroll.
- Produce content both independently and in collaboration with internal creators to expand presence across new TikTok content verticals.
- Create content that builds community, not just views--you understand the difference.
Testing & Iterating
- Lead ongoing A/B testing with titles, thumbnails, hook structure, and video length.
- Test across vertical vs. horizontal formats and assess cross-post potential for platforms like Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Implement real-time creative adjustments to increase impact.
Qualifications
- Impressive experience in social media content creation, short-form video editing, or a related creative field.
- Proven portfolio with viral or highly engaged content -- show us the results
- Proficiency in motion graphics and light animation to enhance short-form content (e.g., animated text, transitions, overlays)
- Deep love for and understanding of TikTok culture, creator trends, and platform behavior.
- Comfort editing within TikTok or CapCut; Premiere Pro or Descript is a bonus, but not required.
- Strong storytelling instincts and passion for wellness, self-development, or purpose-driven content.
- Passion for personal growth, wellness, and the mission behind The Mel Robbins Podcast.
- Highly collaborative, proactive, and agile—ready to pivot with trends and fast-moving production timelines.
- Comfortable with filming equipment and basic on-set roles, but you don’t need a crew to make magic happen.
- Collaborative, quick-moving, solutions-oriented--and you love experimenting to find what works.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience working with podcast or influencer content is a strong plus.
- Understanding of cross-functional workflows with social, design, and post-production teams.
- Understanding of basic analytics tools (TikTok dashboard, etc.) to guide creative decisions.
