General
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Business Development
- Identify, build and develop new client business within a vertical market by pursuing business opportunities with strategic targets in key industries.
- Identifies and evaluates new markets and partnership opportunities through direct prospecting, networking, attendance and participation in various industry affiliations.
- Schedule and perform both in person and virtual group meetings to bring awareness to current or new materials or services being provided.
- Oversees and manages all aspects of the sales process from initial contact to award or rejection of proposals.
- Spearhead and manage marketing campaigns that coincide with our digital marketing platform.
- Partners with our marketing company to create effective marketing strategies to win the marketplace, including value proposition, branding strategy and communications strategy development.
- Motivate others and provide leadership to accomplish team goals without having direct authority over team members.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of project bids and proposals by studying engineering, architectural, and other related documents.
- Over see and approve all take-offs, cost estimates, and manage tender submissions.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and the finance team to through the entire onboarding process.
- Work with the estimating team to regularly update and maintain cost databases and prepare reports regarding market trends and estimating activities.
Requirements
- General understanding of the construction market.
- 10 years experience with 2-4 years of experience in a relative market managing revenues ranging from 5M-50M.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex sales process that involve multiple team members.
- Demonstrated network to include property managers, engineers, building owners, architects, engineers and other professional relationships that leveraged to create business opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully expand new business and grow lasting building relationships.
- Highly collaborative leadership style with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to ever-changing situations.
- Highly developed organizational and planning skills, time management skills and written, oral communication skills.
