About The Role
Boston 26’s FIFA Fan Festival Director will be responsible for overseeing the operational execution and delivery of the Boston FIFA Fan Festival (FFF) Site.
Producing the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ includes the collaboration and integration with FIFA, local transportation partners, and all stakeholders. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, knowledge of event production, permitting and licensing.
Location:
On-site in Foxborough, MA with occasional local and regional travel. Hybrid flexibility availability.
Type/Term
Full-Time, exempt, 40hrs/wk. through late Summer - early Fall 2026 when position would end.

Executive Producer of Celebration ’26 and Events
Salary Range
$140-160k annually, dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
FIFA Fan Festival (FFF):
- Lead the Boston 26 Fan Festival Team including contractors and embedded partners.
- Oversee the design delivery contractor for the FFF build and ensure proper maintenance of the facilities.
- Oversee all operational aspects of the FIFA Fan Festival, including site planning, permitting, logistics, catering, cleaning & waste, staffing, etc.
- Coordinate with other operations sectors, such as Transportation, Last Mile / Fan Experience, Workforce, Safety & Security among others, to ensure smooth and safe tournament operations.
- Work with respective partners to define and develop the broadcast strategy for the FIFA Fan Festival.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services in line with quality standards and budget requirements.
- Work with Safety and Security team to develop a comprehensive safety and security plan
- Oversee site health and safety in conjunction with the site health and safety officer
- Ensure compliance with sustainability and human rights principles in all aspects of event planning and execution.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry codes, permitting, etc. and established standards and delivery timelines.
- Establish guidelines to ensure compliance with alcohol licensing requirements including underage pass off mitigation, ID and intoxication policies and procedures.
- Develop and implementation of contingency plans, risk management protocols, and emergency preparedness strategies.
- Work to identify and mitigate risks, issues, and obstacles to ensure project success.
- Support the strategic planning for FIFA Fan Festival including live entertainment, interactive experiences, food and beverage offerings, cultural activations and alignment with the broader Celebration ’26 Concept.
- Develop timelines and run of show concepts and identify innovative and immersive experiences.
- Assist in the management of a multi-million-dollar budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility while maximizing revenue opportunities and identifying cost-saving efficiencies.
- Support production concept development, budgeting, resource allocation and the RFP process.
- Support project planning and timeline development and oversee project execution from inception to completion.
- Prepare regular progress reports, presentations, and updates for Management.
- Prepare and organize documents, reports, presentations, and other materials for executive meetings and presentations.
- Maintain related SharePoint sites, files, records, and databases ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility.
Celebration 26
- Work with the Executive Producer and Vice President of Operations in the development of the Celebration ’26 Concept and overarching programming including live entertainment, interactive experiences, food and beverage offerings, and cultural activations.
- Work with the Vice President of Operations and Executive Producer to represent Boston 26 in meetings and presentations associated with the FIFA Fan Festival and broader Celebration ’26 program.
- Support the coordination of working groups and meetings, including logistics, catering, and attendees.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and external stakeholders to ensure events showcase Boston’s unique identity and provide exceptional fan experiences.

- A strong understanding of the regulations and laws surrounding festivals and special events, preferably within the New England region.
- Experience developing, communicating, and implementing actionable strategic operating plans (including contingency plans) through different event operations stages.
- Keen project manager with the able to analyze problems and formulate a best solution for key decisions.
- Experienced in stakeholder management and integration across multiple city and state-level agencies.
- Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects while under pressure and remain flexible.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software.
- Sports events experience preferred.

WORK EXPECTATIONS
- Full-time, onsite, 40hr per week role that may require occasional evening and weekend work. Local and regional travel is expected on occasion. Hybrid flexibility as work allows.
- This role is estimated to conclude in late Summer / early Fall of 2026.

The compensation range is competitive and commensurate with professional experience, and includes access to:
