Looking for supplemental income that does not feel like a second job?
Come clean beautiful Airbnbs in downtown Boston with The Crew Cleaning Group. Headphones in, your own music on, no customers to deal with, no guests watching, no one micromanaging you. This is a laid back, satisfying, genuinely fun job, and we also hold a very high standard. Both are true. The standard stays high because our systems make it easy, and the vibe stays chill because nobody is left guessing.
The money, up front: W-2 employee position, not 1099, not cash. Everyone starts at $25 an hour, and our Fast Track program moves you up to $28 an hour as you graduate levels. Pay is biweekly. Parking and supplies are covered. And any day we schedule you, you make at least $150 before taxes. We only bring people in on days with 2 to 3 cleans stacked, and if the day adds up to less, we top you up to $150.
How it works: you get access to our app, where you put in your availability, for the week or the month, as far ahead as you can, and sign up for shifts that fit your life. Only sign up when you are confident you can take it. Signing up is a commitment, and calling out takes 48 hours notice. Sundays are our biggest day, so you must be free at least 2 Sundays a month. Cleans run in a 10 AM to 4 PM window, no early mornings, no late nights, no clean over 3 hours. There is no sit down lunch break in a shift that length. We eat on the run, on the clock, and nobody works hungry. The pace is real, though: if you need to stop and scroll on your phone mid shift, this is not the job for you.
No driving all over Boston either. Our homes are concentrated in one small area, multiple units in the same building, the next building often under a five minute walk once you park. Some days you never leave one building, and parking is on us.
Who you will learn from: The Crew is run by husband and wife team Mac and Paige Collins. Mac spent 12 years on superyachts and as an estate manager for high net worth families. Paige was a superyacht stewardess and an Executive Housekeeper on private estates. We love teaching what we learned, and if you want to get into hospitality, this is a great foundation. We work your first cleans right beside you, cleaning with you, never just watching, and we do not micromanage once you know the system. Almost every home we manage is copy and paste, same systems, same checklist, a lot of them even have the same furniture, so you build a routine fast and the job gets easy.
Clear expectations: you will be making beds to a high standard. You will be cleaning toilets, and so will we, right beside you. You will inspect the unit, sign off on it, and be held accountable for it being right. This is a detail job. Our motto is: like no one was ever there. Every guest should walk in and go, wow, this place looks brand new. We take real pride in our five star ratings, because that is how we grow. It sounds like a lot, but we teach you everything and set you up to succeed. If you fail, we fail.
Do you meet the requirements? Be honest:
- A single hair on the bathroom floor bothers you.
- You would go back for one fingerprint left on the fridge.
- A crooked pillow or a wrinkled bed just does not sit right with you.
- You love a good before and after.
- You do your best work with your headphones in and your own music on.
- You have a smartphone and a reliable way to get to downtown Boston.
- You are free at least 2 Sundays a month.
If that list is literally you, we want to hear from you. No cleaning experience is okay, just tell us about yourself and why you would be a good fit. Solo cleaners who want to fill slow days are welcome too. Got a friend you love working with? If you both apply, tell us, and we will try to schedule you together.
Apply and answer all the screening questions. Blank or one word answers are not reviewed.
