Outpatient Lymphedema Therapist (OT or PT)
Location: Boston, MA
A leading academic medical center in Boston is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) or Physical Therapist (PT) with specialized training in lymphedema management to join its growing outpatient rehabilitation team.
This is a unique opportunity to practice in a highly specialized, interdisciplinary environment alongside nationally recognized experts in lymphatic disease, oncology, and reconstructive surgery.
Position Overview
The Lymphedema Therapist will evaluate and treat patients across a wide spectrum of lymphatic disorders, including:
- Breast and trunk lymphedema
- Head and neck involvement
- Genital lymphedema
- Upper and lower extremity conditions
- Lipedema
This program is recognized as a Center of Excellence, offering exposure to complex cases and a robust, collaborative care model. The role also includes the opportunity for mentorship and potential involvement in research initiatives.
Schedule & Flexibility
- Full-time preferred (4 or 5 days/week)
- Open to part-time (minimum 3 days/week)
- Flexible scheduling options:
- 3x8’s, 3x9’s, 3x10’s
- 4x8’s, 4x9’s, 4x10’s
- 5x8’s
- Hours available between 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday
- Opportunity to focus fully on lymphedema or blend with another clinical specialty

Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy
- Active Massachusetts licensure (or eligibility)
- Completion of a 135-hour lymphedema certification program (LANA not required)
- Prior experience treating patients with lymphedema and/or lipedema
- Strong clinical evaluation, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Interest in ongoing learning, collaboration, and specialty practice
