Family-owned since 1990, First Defense Supply is a leading provider of name-brand uniforms, badges, duty gear, and tactical equipment for police, fire, rescue, and EMS professionals. We serve customers across Massachusetts and beyond from our stores in Fitchburg and Taunton.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Take care of customers. Welcome people warmly, understand what they need, and help them find the right gear and the right fit.
- Be the product expert. Learn our lines so you can confidently recommend the best solution for each customer.
- Keep the store sharp. Help with displays, restocking, and keeping the floor organized and well-presented.
- Handle sales & checkout. Process transactions accurately at the register and inform customers of current promotions.
- Fulfill orders accurately. Pick, pack, and check orders for accuracy and quality before they go out the door.
- Manage inventory. Track stock levels, restock, and help keep storage areas labeled and easy to navigate.
- Pitch in as a team. Communicate openly, cross-train on different tasks, and help wherever the day takes you.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Must-haves:
- A friendly, customer-first attitude and clear communication.
- Dependability — you show up on time, ready to help.
- Comfort with a register and basic computer/inventory systems.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability for a set weekly schedule, including a short Saturday shift.
Nice-to-haves (not required):
- Prior retail, sales, customer service, or warehouse experience.
- An interest in the public safety, uniform, or tactical gear world.

PAY & BENEFITS
- Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience.
