Job Description
Job Purpose: Performs tasks/ activities associated with the monitoring of informal areas and illegal occupation of land.
Duties:
- Doing snap surveys in informal settlements
- Check for any illegal structures erected on sites
- Ensure that all informal structures are marked according to the set procedure
- Loading materials and equipment on the vehicle
- Breaking down empty illegal structures
- Preventing the erection of new structures
- Assist during disaster events
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations
- Report any defects / shortcomings relating to water and sanitation.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- 1-year relevant work experience
- Physical fit and healthy
- Must lift and carry weights up to 25kg
- Proficient in at least 2 of the 3 official languages in the Western Cape
