Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Oil/Gas Service Technician to join our team. This is a year-round position with a guarantee of working at least 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be experienced with Powerflame, Carlin and Beckert Burners, steam and hot water systems and their components. You will be responsible for the maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial heating systems, as well as related tanks and piping. This role requires he ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of Oil/Gas systems in residential and commercial properties.
Duties
- Perform thorough annual preventative maintenance on customers’ heating equipment ensuring it runs on peak efficiency
- Identify and repair problems with heating equipment
- Respond to routine and emergency service calls
- Create exceptional experience for all customers
- Understanding of oil and gas systems required
- Communicate on a regular basis with the Service Team
- Ability to work with our tablet systems
- Ability to work independently
- Available to work overtime and weekends when necessary
- Possess a valid driver license and clean driving record
- Possess a valid MA oil burner license
Skills
- A minimum of three years of experience in oil service
- Experience with Powerflame, Carlin and Beckert Burners, steam and hot water systems and their components required.
- MA oil burner service license.
- EPA 608 certificate preferred.
- Plumbing experience preferred.
- Clean driving record.
- Understanding of blueprints, plans, and manuals.
- Ability to pass company-provided drug and alcohol test.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, overtime, and on call shifts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for van driving responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for prolonged lengths of time. Ability to bend or kneel to view underside of tanks. Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds, carry, push and pull weights up to 100 pounds without a dolly.
