Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist (CPO)
A growing and established New England-based medical equipment and orthotics/prosthetics provider is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist (CPO) to join our team. This individual will play a key role in delivering high-quality orthotic and prosthetic care across a diverse patient population while collaborating closely with physicians, therapists, case managers, and clinical staff.

Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients for orthotic and prosthetic needs
- Design, measure, fit, adjust, and deliver custom and off-the-shelf orthotic and prosthetic devices
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with referring physicians and rehabilitation teams
- Provide patient education regarding device use, care, and expectations
- Perform follow-up care and adjustments to ensure optimal fit and function
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and payer requirements
- Coordinate with manufacturing/vendors regarding device fabrication and modifications
- Manage patient scheduling and maintain efficient workflow
- Participate in multidisciplinary patient care discussions when appropriate
- Ensure compliance with ABC accreditation standards, HIPAA regulations, and all applicable healthcare guidelines
- Support prior authorization and medical necessity documentation as needed
- Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies, products, and clinical best practices
- Participate in outreach and relationship-building efforts with referral sources and healthcare providers
- Travel locally to nursing facilities, physician offices, hospitals, and patient care sites for evaluations, fittings, follow-up care, and clinical support as needed
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Orthotist/Prosthetist (CPO)
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
- Experience with lower extremity, upper extremity, spinal orthotics, and prosthetic management preferred
- Familiarity with EMR systems and clinical documentation requirements
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally as needed
