THE OPPORTUNITY
A high-growth consumer brand specializing in clean-label, "modern premium" products is seeking a hands-on Chief Executive Officer. With an established retail footprint and a strong brand ethos, the company is poised for significant omnichannel expansion.
We are looking for a builder and operator capable of professionalizing a founder-led organization while aggressively driving digital and commercial growth.
PHASE 1: OPERATIONAL FOUNDATION (0–12 MONTHS)
- Talent & Performance: Conduct a structured organizational assessment to identify top performers and talent gaps. Establish a culture of high performance, accountability, and clear career paths.
- Systems & Infrastructure: Audit current organizational structures and reporting lines. Implement the foundational systems and "operating rhythms" (KPIs, goal-setting, and communication) necessary for scale.
- Retail Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the brand’s physical retail presence, ensuring a premium customer experience and optimizing store-level performance metrics.
- Financial Stewardship: Own the P&L and partner with ownership/the board on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning to ensure long-term business continuity.
PHASE 2: STRATEGIC GROWTH (12+ MONTHS)
- Digital & Marketplace Expansion: Lead a substantial build-out of the digital commerce strategy, driving explosive growth on Amazon and other key e-commerce platforms.
- Scalable Supply Chain: Design and implement the operational backbone including logistics, fulfillment, and technology needed to support rapid volume growth.
- Brand Stewardship: Define and steward a distinctive brand identity across all consumer touchpoints (digital, retail, and social) to deepen consumer loyalty and maintain premium positioning.
- Data-Driven Leadership: Build out data and analytics capabilities to enable performance-driven decisions across all channels.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership in high-growth, "scrappy" consumer organizations (CPG, health/wellness, or clean-label food/bev). Prior CEO, COO, CMO, or GM experience is required.
- E-Commerce Expertise: Proven track record of scaling digital commerce, specifically with high-level expertise in the Amazon ecosystem and DTC channels.
- Operator Mindset: You are comfortable in the operational details but possess the commercial instincts to drive a brand toward its next major revenue milestone.
- People-Builder: An exceptional leader who can inspire and coach a team while holding them to high standards of excellence.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Thrives in a growth-stage environment where agility and a bias toward action are essential.
