A Urology center is looking for a full time Medical Assistant

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Temp to Potentail hire

Pay: $25-28/hour

Responsibilities

Assist with patient processing, rooming, and visit flow to ensure efficient clinic operations.
Support physicians during procedures and treatments, including wound dressing and sterile procedure setup.
Perform accurate patient intake using two patient identifiers.
Communicate wait times and patient volume updates to providers and patients.
Maintain biopsy and procedure logbooks in accordance with BWH and department standards.
Relay laboratory and pathology results to patients at the direction of the physician.
Call pharmacies for medication prescriptions and renewals as directed.
Document all interactions and prescription renewals accurately in the LMR system.
Provide patient education on informed consent, wound care, and medication instructions.
Autoclave instruments and participate in scheduled autoclave maintenance.
Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance guidelines.
Maintain inventory and ensure clinical rooms are fully stocked.
Perform additional duties as assigned, including front office support and occasional travel to satellite practices.

Qualifications

High school diploma required.
Graduate of a Medical Assistant training program or equivalent relevant experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
Minimum of 6 months of medical office experience.
Experience with autoclaving preferred.
Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
Urology experience is a plus.
EPIC experience strongly preferred.
