KnK currently has three active "Shop/Farm" locations.
Norton - West Wareham
Seeking a "Farm hand" / "Shop Hand" to predominantly work out of the Norton Farm. The shop hand is responsible for shop & Farm maintenance but will also be utilized for contracted projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with various farm tasks such as planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, plows, and irrigation systems
- Care for and handle animals, including feeding, watering, and cleaning
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment
- Assist with the maintenance of gardens and greenhouses
- Help with the construction and repair of fences, buildings, and other structures on the farm
Requirements:
- Mechanical knowledge and experience with farm machinery
- Familiarity with equine care and handling
- Knowledge of growing practices, including irrigation techniques
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions
- Experience in equipment repair is a plus
- Understanding of animal husbandry principles
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment is an asset
- General labor as requested by supervisor at various project locations.
