Technology Communications Consultant

This role focuses on driving effective communication and messaging within technology to support the successful adoption of new tools, capabilities, and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the development and delivery of high-quality, technically precise written communications, translating complex fintech and wealth management concepts into clear messaging aligned with the organization’s culture and values.
- Serve as a trusted communications partner to Marketing, Internal Communications, Product, Technology, and Business stakeholders to ensure messaging is accurate, consistent, and effective across all channels (including executive communications, e‑newsletters, status reports, and digital platforms).
- Lead the creation, editing, and maintenance of technology communications assets, including technical documentation, fact sheets, job aids, instructional guides, web content, and presentations.
- Drive stakeholder and partner engagement strategies by proactively identifying communication needs, anticipating risks, and securing awareness, understanding, and buy-in for project teams.
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy, setting priorities, managing multiple workstreams, and adjusting approach as business needs shift, while maintaining focus on outcomes and deadlines.
- Continuously improve content quality, clarity, and effectiveness by leveraging feedback, analytics, and best practices in technical and financial communications.
Core Strengths and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field is required; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Significant professional experience in communications, technical writing, or content development, preferably within fintech, financial services, or wealth management environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical and business writing, with the ability to explain complex systems, financial products, and processes in a clear, concise, and audience-appropriate manner.
- Strong understanding of wealth management concepts, financial technology platforms, and the needs of advisors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal direction, exercising sound judgment, initiative, and accountability in ambiguous or fast-changing situations.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a track record of prioritizing competing demands, pivoting quickly, and delivering high-quality work under tight timelines.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including experience collaborating with internal partners.
- Analytical and resourceful, with strong research, validation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with modern content development and collaboration tools, such as document management systems, presentation tools, and content platforms.
