Sales Associate (Retail Convenience & Fuel Store)
(Overnight Rate Differential)
Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Sales Associate to join our high-energy convenience and fuel store team. The Sales Associate plays a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service, driving store sales, and maintaining operational excellence.
As a frontline representative of our brand, the Sales Associate is responsible for cashiering, merchandising, inventory replenishment, store cleanliness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Our goal is to exceed customer expectations during every visit while protecting store assets and supporting overall business performance.
This is a fast-paced retail environment that requires reliability, accountability, and a service-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Experience
- Deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately and efficiently
- Process cash, credit, debit, EBT, lottery, and age-restricted transactions in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Build positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
Store Operations & Merchandising
- Perform daily cashiering, stocking, and merchandising tasks
- Replenish inventory to maintain in-stock conditions and maximize sales
- Maintain store cleanliness standards inside and outside the facility (fuel pumps, trash receptacles, parking lot, etc.)
- Follow planograms and merchandising guidelines as directed by management
- Support loss prevention and asset protection initiatives
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment concerns to management
Safety & Compliance
- Comply with all company policies and operational procedures
- Follow Safe Food Handling Procedures in accordance with Board of Health and industry standards
- Adhere to safety protocols during inclement weather, emergencies, or property damage situations
- Ensure compliance with tobacco, lottery, and other age-restricted product regulations
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) in English
- Basic math and cash-handling proficiency
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
The Sales Associate role requires standing for extended periods, reaching, bending, and lifting.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

This position is based onsite at one of our convenience and fuel store locations.
