PLANT MANAGER
North of Boston, a precision machining organization is currently seeking a Plant Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for daily operations, safety, quality, on-time delivery, efficiency, and overall success of the site. The strategic direction, goals, and processes/practices you create, and implement will drive the desired annual profit plan and long-term targets. The best practices your team identifies and implements will ultimately contribute to operational effectiveness and deliver exceptional business results and have direct strategic oversight of 70+ employees.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $158k - $170k a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What will you do?
- Collaborate with Plant leadership to manage facility operations, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, Customer Service, HR and Finance.
- Establish objectives and track key performance indicators across the organization; ensure continued improvement in scorecard metrics.
- Develop and foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Continually assess short and long-term objectives to help meet annual profit plan, operational excellence, and strategic plan goals.
- Monitor product quality levels and introduce and implement innovative programs to ensure customer requirements and continued improvement that meets customer requirements.
- Empower employees to drive accountability and proactively to champion a workplace focused on health & safety, driving a zero-incident culture.
- Provide direction on elevated issues and ensure compliance with quality system requirements including achievement and maintenance of customer specifications.
- Create a motivating atmosphere and culture of employee engagement which allows each employee to utilize their full potential.
- Select, train, appraise, motivate, and develop staff for future positions with a growing facility.
- Manage the plant’s practical capacity and capabilities to ensure profitable growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 10 years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Quality in a metals manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 5-10 years of managerial experience in a CNC machine environment
- Authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder').
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Business Administration from an accredited institution; 3 or more years of Aerospace and/or Defense industry experience; 5 or more years of experience in materials management, quality assurance, mechanical engineering, Industry 4.0, or continuous improvement
Pay: $158,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
