Job Title: Funding Servicer – Real Estate Closings
Location: Needham, MA (Onsite Only)
Compensation: $20 – $25 per hour, commensurate with experience
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Funding Servicer to join our busy real estate law office in Needham. This role is a key part of the real estate closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in funding, disbursements, and post-closing file management.
The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate funding, mortgage servicing, title insurance, or banking operations, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume workload under strict daily deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Receive, prioritize, and process funding packets daily (40–100 files per day).
- Review files for accuracy, including dates, amounts, initials, and signatures.
- Confirm wires are received by lenders and issue cleared checks to the appropriate parties.
- Prepare and send overnight packages to borrowers, creditors, and lenders.
- Assist with ordering payoffs, taxes, and opening new real estate files.
- Review commitments and send closing documents back to lenders.
- Collaborate with paralegals to resolve any file discrepancies.
- Ensure all closing and funding documents are finalized and moved to funding.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain focus on repetitive tasks.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite .
- Professional written communication skills required.
- Prior experience with Qualia software preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate closings, title processing, mortgage funding, or banking.
- Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
