Alumni Relations Coordinator ~ Boston Arts Academy Foundation, Fenway neighborhood, Boston | Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 remote)
The Boston Arts Academy Foundation (BAAF) is seeking an Alumni Relations Coordinator to help strengthen lifelong relationships between alumni and the school that shaped them—while inspiring meaningful philanthropic support that sustains the next generation of young artists.
Reporting to the Director of Engagement & Alumni Giving, this role provides essential administrative, communications, and event support to advance alumni engagement and giving across the Foundation’s programs. What You’ll Do
Alumni Engagement & Philanthropy (40%)
- Support the execution of a multi-channel alumni engagement and fundraising strategy, including annual appeals, targeted campaigns, and alumni spotlights
- Assist with identifying and cultivating alumni donor prospects using internal data, research tools, and social media
- Help implement strategies to increase alumni participation in the Foundation’s annual giving program
- Track and analyze alumni engagement metrics to inform donor pipeline development and program improvements
Event & Program Support (30%)
- Coordinate and support alumni-focused events such as reunions, networking gatherings, and fundraising initiatives—ensuring high-quality experiences from invitation through execution
- Provide logistical support for alumni participation in Foundation-hosted events (e.g., BAA Honors, performances, panel discussions)
- Help recruit, manage, and steward alumni volunteers and ambassadors
- Manage RSVP tracking, space reservations, event materials, and vendor communications
Communications & Outreach (15%)
- Draft and distribute compelling alumni communications, including newsletters, campaign messaging, and social media content, in collaboration with the communications team
- Maintain and update alumni web content and storytelling that highlights alumni impact and involvement
- Support the design and production of alumni engagement collateral and fundraising materials
Data & Operations (15%)
- Maintain accurate alumni records in the donor database (Raiser’s Edge NXT), including contact information, event attendance, and giving history
- Track outreach efforts, engagement activities, and donor cultivation touchpoints
- Generate reports and support data integrity and database projects as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Associate or bachelor’s degree required
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in alumni relations, development, program coordination, or student services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with CRM/database systems (Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce preferred)
- Event planning or administrative experience in a nonprofit, arts, or education setting is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong time management, and ability to multitask
- Passion for the arts, education, and community-building
- Boston Arts Academy alumni strongly encouraged to apply
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $55,000–$65,000, plus a 5% bonus
- Generous paid time off and 11 paid holidays per year
- Four additional paid days off during Wellness Week (week of Martin Luther King Jr. holiday)

Work Schedule & Location
This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, based in the Foundation’s offices in Boston’s Fenway neighborhood. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required for alumni events and meetings.

Each year, the Foundation must bridge the growing multi-million-dollar gap between Boston Public Schools’ funding allocation and the true cost of an arts-intensive and college preparatory education. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors that has fiduciary oversight over the Foundation’s assets.
Boston Arts Academy Foundation seeks a proactive, relationship-oriented, and mission-driven Alumni Relations Coordinator to play a critical role in strengthening the Foundation’s alumni engagement and philanthropic efforts. This position supports the development and execution of a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy designed to cultivate lifelong connections with over 2,000 BAA graduates and increase alumni participation in annual giving.
