The Girls Junior Varsity Lacrosse Coach is responsible for all aspects of the junior varsity program. This includes designing and implementing daily practices that prepare students for competitive matches, administrative tasks supporting program logistics and mentoring athletes on and off the field.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Assume responsibility for safely and effectively coaching Brooks School girl’s junior varsity lacrosse Monday through Saturday from mid-March until Memorial Day Weekend.
● Plan and implement effective daily practice sessions, and prepare students for competitive matches.
● Encourage and motivate students individually and as a team
● Support the Varsity Head Coach with the administration of overall program needs
● Attend to First Aid/CPR/AED requirements as necessary
● Possess and maintain a coaching philosophy that is in accordance with the mission of Brooks School
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
● A positive outlook with enthusiasm for the sport of girls lacrosse
● Relevant experience coaching at the high school level and/or a successful personal background in competitive lacrosse
● Demonstrated ability to work effectively with secondary school students
● A strong commitment to the student-athlete concept and the development of a positive team experience
● Technical understanding of high school lacrosse skills
● Effective verbal and written communication skills
● A valid driver’s license and willingness to drive 14 passenger school van
● Pass background check and other references, as needed

COMPENSATION RANGE:
$2500 - $3500 for the season
