We are seeking a full-time Job Coach for our Wakefield Day Services Program. As an American Training Job Coach you will work closely with our Guests, adults with developmental disabilities, to support their individual employment goals. You will be a vital part in ensuring that our Guests are living meaningful and memorable lives!
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.
What does a Job Coach do?
- Develop positive relationships with employers, acting as the liaison between Guests and the employer
- Teach, train, guide and direct Guests in life skills and job skills, in both an individual and group setting
- Support with increasing Guests independence in accordance with their ISP goals
- Develop detail job task evaluation for a variety of jobs in different industries
- Must have one year of experience with people with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities. Experience as a Job Coach is a plus.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy skills, word processing and data sheets.
- A valid driver’s license, the use of a personal vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage and a satisfactory CORI are required.
